Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigations Division is made up of four teams of investigators, one specializing in crimes agains persons, another in crimes against property, one in crimes involving juveniles and a Special investigations Unit which specializes in narcotics and vice investigations. 16 full time investigators and 6 tactical response officers are currently assigned to the division. The Division is also assigned two full time crime scene investigators who provide forensic services and support to the department. One division major, four lieutenants, five sargeants and a number of corporals supervise the operations of the division. Investigators are charged with conducting follow up investigations, interviews and interrogations, execution of search warrants and any other action required to bring cases to a successful prosecution.
